~ These pieces are a series of pieces designed to honor the life of Reuben; a Staffordshire Bull Terrier that stumbled into our family and forever changed us. He was the most benevolent creature throughout his entire life, which was filled with medical struggles because of his under developed immune system- a direct result of poor (or careless) breeding. All profits from this series will be donated in memory of Reuben, and will go towards individuals needing extra medical attention whether in the care of a rescue, a shelter, hospice caregiver, or family without the means to pay for treatments. In memory of Bunz; our silly, loud, uncoordinated, putting-everything-in-his-mouth, happy-go-lucky little buddy. We love you and miss you everyday. ~
Reuben's Carnelian, Moonstone and Quartz Necklace:
A single Carnelian flat circle met with accents of Smokey Quartz, a single Moonstone oval and hand-hammered circle in Vermeil or Sterling Silver are the features of this easy-to-wear necklace. Carnelian was used as the featured stone because it reminds me so much of Reuben's beautiful coloring. This necklace is available in both Vermeil chain as well as Sterling Silver chain.
Pictured at an overall length of 47 inches (119.38 cm) with a 2 inch (5.08 cm) drop, this pendant-style necklace is versatile and dresses up or down easily. Bear in mind that the stones used are all genuine semiprecious gemstones, and they will be heavier in weight than a necklace made of plastic or resin. That being said, this particular necklace clocks in at a lightweight 0.9 ounces (25.514 grams). Please allow for slight differences in color and size with every stone used- each one is perfectly unique so no two necklaces are exactly the same!
**Please note that vintage findings may have slight discoloration or dark spots, which should be considered part of their unique character. Jewelry with raw brass findings will darken over time, but can be easily cleaned with vinegar or a brass polish.
